Bio

Dr. Fofack obtained his PhD in 1998 from the American University of Washington D.C in the USA. He has served as Lecturer in France (1989 - 1991) and USA (1994 - 1997) then joined the World Bank in 1995 as Research Economist for the Poverty Reduction and Social Development (1995).

From this time, he has been serving the same institution in different countries and since 2002, he was appointed at the World Bank Institute as Senior Economist and Leader Macroeconomics and Policy Assessment Skills Program. He is contributing to the establishment of the Nelson Mandela Institute supported by institutions such as TWAS and AAS.

His research interests include: Banking and finance in economic growth and development, perspectives in economic and financial integration, dependency structure between official and parallel exchange rates in dual exchange regimes, micro-macro linkage and design of growth strategies, public expenditure allocation and growth. He has published 3 books, 22 articles (2005).
