Prof. Obi was the first veterinarian in Okija and younger ones got into Veterinary Medicine because of his influence. He pursued his profession with zeal and determination and reached its zenith. He acquired all the available degrees in his field and fellowships of Veterinary Medical Association of Nigeria and the Nigerian Academy of Science.
He received Nigerian honours for his meritorious services to the country. He was an accomplished academician.
