Prof Touré obtained his PhD in 1994 from the Univerity of Franche-Comté of Besançon (France); then joined the Mathematics Department of the University of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) and rose through the ranks to become full Professor in 2002.

His research interests include mathematics in nonlinear elliptic parabolic equation using the theory of evolution equations in Banach spaces; stabilization problem of parabolic-hyperbolic non linear type in mathematical and numerical aspects of pollutants, transport in a porous environment, analysis, functional analysis and partial differential equations.

He has been Head of the Department of mathematics of the Institute of Mathematics and physics, Head of the Postgraduate programs, Deputy Director of the Centre of Computer Sciences in Charge of Distance Learning and ICT, Director of the University Pedagogic Centre, Director of the Virtual University Centre of Africa, Director of the Distance learning Degree of Multimedia Communicator, Director of the laboratory of LAME Equations and Mathematical Analysis and Director of AMMSI West African Regional Office.

He has served as Senior Associate at the ICTP in Trieste (Italy) and Coordinator of the Research Network PDE Modelling and Control he Co-Founded. He is a member of the Executive Committee of African Mathematical Union (UMA) and several other professional societies. He has 27 publications (2009).
