The African Union is committed to reaping the benefits of the fourth industrial revolution for Africa’s socio-economic development and commissioned a Digital Transformation Strategy for the continent in 2019. AAS believes that the fourth industrial revolution offers an opportunity to accelerating results from other scientific priority areas identified in this program. The objectives of the Roundtable were to identify, document and advocate for research priority areas for accelerating the contribution of the fourth industrial revolution to Africa’s scientific agenda
