The African Academy of Sciences welcomes 29 scholars into its membership
The AAS is honored to welcome 29 distinguished scholars who have been elected to be Fellows of the African Academy of Sciences (FAAS).
The 29 scholars were elected through a rigorous process following a call for applications for the 2021 round of AAS Fellowships. The new Fellows bring experience from across the globe and from a cross-section of scientific disciplines.
As part the AAS’ mandate of recognizing excellence in Africa, the AAS celebrates Africa’s best talent by electing to its membership outstanding scholars who have attained the highest level of excellence in their scientific field and have made significant contributions to the advancement of science regionally and globally.
