Impact and Achievements

AESA regularly monitors, evaluates and measures the impact of these programmes and investments. It is also creating a knowledge hub that will provide centralised data, ideas and recommendations to effectively influence decision making throughout Africa in ways that will inspire political leaders to invest in the continent’s future. Its achievements over the since its establishment in 2015 to date and that are listed per each strategic goal include:

Inspired the creation of three additional platforms — AAS Open Research, Global Grant Community (GGC), Coalition for Africa Research and Innovation (CARI)
Growth in partners from 4 in 2015 to the current 33
Thousands of researchers being funded through AESA programmes
Achieved 50:50 gender equality ratio in programmes
